08-09-2023 Pamplona Queen Letizia and King Felipe attend the celebration of the 6th centenary of the privilege of the Union at St Mary's Cathedral in Pamplona.
The Privilege of the Union is the treaty by which the three main burghs that made up the city of Pamplona in the Middle Ages were united by means of a document signed on 8 September 1423 by King Carlos III of Navarre 'the Noble'.
Until that day, each burgh had had its own flag and ruler.
