31-12-2019 Huize House Ivicke along the N44 of owner 'Krottenkoning' Ronnie van de Putte, major shareholder of Bever Holding, is the dilapidated chateau on which the Noordwijk couple Martien and Erica Meiland would be interested in.
Huize Ivicke is located right along the Rijksstraatweg between The Hague and Wassenaar.
It was built in 1913 by the local architect-contractor G.J. van der Mark on behalf of owner A.F.J. van Hattum.
He had the mansion built for his Danish wife Xenia Maria Pousette.
It was an exact copy of the Eremitageslottet hunting lodge of the Danish kings in the Jaegersborg Dyrehave park near Copenhagen.
The country house is a national monument. Rare of its kind is the wooden playhouse, called Stugan, which was built for the children in the forest behind the house of the Van Hattum couple, also a national monument.
The last residents were banker Paul Huet and his wife, after which it was given an office function around 1986.
In recent years, due to vacancy and neglect, the house has become an increasingly dilapidated impression and the playhouse's roof has almost disappeared. (Source Heemschut)
