The Dutch princess was awarded this year’s ‘World Without AIDS Award’ for her “tireless efforts” in “setting a strong example in the global fight against HIV and AIDS”.
Princess Mabel has long been involved in charity work that involves the fight against AIDS, including her work with The Elders and Girls Not Brides.
