07-06-2019 Rotterdam Princess Beatrix with Mayor of Rotterdam, Ahmed Aboutaleb (l), and King's Commissioner (CdK) Jaap Smit (r) arrive for the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Batavian Society of Experimental Philosophy at the city hall in Rotterdam.
The society was founded on 3 June 1769 in Rotterdam and is therefore one of the oldest scientific associations in the country.
Princess Beatrix is patron of the Bataafsch Genootschap der Proefondervindelijke Wijsbegeerte.
