14-07-2022 Belgium Queen Mathilde pictured during a royal visit to the city of Limbourg, one year after the devastating floods that touched the region, 14th of july marks the first anniversary of the terrible floods that hit Wallonia last summer. In July 2021 - on the 14th and 15th - a real torrent poured over several Walloon municipalities, mainly in the provinces of Liege, Namur and Luxembourg.
About 100,000 people were affected by this disaster which killed 39 people. Between 45,000 and 55,000 homes were damaged and more than 10,000 vehicles destroyed.
