16-08-2007 Stockholm. H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden and H.R.H. Prince Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands met in Stockholm and attended the seminar "Cities at Risk: A Warmer World and the Big Chill for Urban Planners," a Royal Colloquium held today at the Stockholm City Conference Centre as part of the annual World Water Week in Stockholm. The colloquium addressed the effects of climate change on sea-level rise, and the implications for coastal cities around the world. Nearly 80% of all humans live within 50 kilometres of a coastline. Some 2500 people from 140 countries are participating in the Water Week, which ends 16 August.
